Well done to Fidelity ADT, SAPS, and all other role-players involved in recovering a hijacked truck in White River. On Tuesday morning, our team received an emergency call regarding a truck hijacked in the Rockies Drift area, White River. We shared the pin drop location received from the tracking company directing the team to the Caster bridge circle.
As they approached, they saw a stationary truck on the side of the road with two individuals in the truck. They immediately instructed them to exit the truck and lay on the ground. It turns out that these were the vehicle crew who were hijacked. Upon further investigation, the driver of the truck informed Fidelity that while they were driving on the R40 from White River to Hazyview, a dark grey Ford Ranger overtook them, and two suspects pointed firearms at the driver and crew and instructed them to pull the truck to the side of the road.
The suspects stopped the truck again, and another unknown vehicle stopped behind the truck. One suspect walked to the passenger side and handed the other suspect a jamming device which they placed inside the crew’s bag. The suspects jumped out without stealing any of the parcels from the truck and climbed back into a Ford Ranger, and fled the scene in the direction of Hazyview. White River SAPS attended the scene.
Thank you to all those working together to fight crime.
