Several trucks and a bakkie were burnt after a bush fire spread onto a neighboring property during heavy winds in Redcliffe, Verulam.
Residents in the area contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 11:14 after they noticed thick black smoke emanating from the property. Reaction Officers responded to the premises and arrived on the scene with the Ethekwini Fire Department. A 52-year-old female was alone at home and was removed from the house by neighbors prior to the arrival of First Responders.
Several trucks and an Isuzu bakkie that were parked in the yard were on fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze which was spreading rapidly due to the heavy winds.
