Essential relief to Siyathutuka Informal Settlement, Sea Cow Lake
The residents of Siyathutuka Informal Settlement, Sea Cow Lake,KZN woke up to a devastating reality – they had become homeless overnight. A massive Fire, caused by faulty electrical connections, ravaged through the settlement, reducing 50 family homes to ashes.
These families found themselves with nothing, having lost all their possessions.
Community leader Sibongile reached out to Gift of the Givers for assistance. The team arrived with essential relief supplies such as blankets, mattresses, Food Parcels, rice, cooking oil, maize meal and canned food.
