A 25-year-old man was hospitalized after his vehicle collided with a trailer on Old Main Road between the second and third entrance to Trenance Park, KZN.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Verulam Operations Center received numerous calls from the public requesting assistance at the scene. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found that a white Toyota Yaris collided in a trailer used to transport sugar cane. The trailer was empty at the time of the incident.
According to the driver of the light motor vehicle, he was traveling towards Verulam and applied his foot brake as he approached a speed bump. His vehicle suddenly spun out of control and collided with the trailer of an articulated truck that was proceeding in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris suffered moderate injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
