Fortunate escape from injury after vehicle is struck by a runaway truck tyre

Earlier yesterday morning, IPSS Medical Rescue responded to the N2 in the vicinity of the Ballito off-ramp for reports of a motor vehicle accident.

On arrival of paramedics, they established that a vehicle had been traveling on the Northbound lane when it was struck by a runaway truck tyre. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained.
