Just before 14h30 on Friday Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a collision involving a heavy articulated vehicle and a light motor vehicle on the M4 Ruth First Highway near the Portland Drive area.
On arrival on scene a heavy duty truck was found to have careened across the centre median, colliding with the car head on, before smashing into a wall.
Cement bags lay strewn across the roadway.
The driver of the truck, a male approximately thirty years of age suffered moderate injuries and was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
