An Isuzu 4-ton truck hijacked from Phoenix – KZN was recovered in Zwelisha – KZN by Reaction Officers this afternoon (Monday).
At approximately 14:39, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance from a supermarket in Phoenix – KZN. According to the caller, their truck was hijacked by three (3) occupants of a white VW Polo while conducting deliveries in Palmview – KZN. The driver and conductor were dumped on the roadside.
Reaction Officers received GPS Co-Ordinates which indicated that the truck was moving on an unnamed road in Zwelisha – KZN. Officers converged on the area and recovered the vehicle abandoned.
The safe was damaged and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
