Members of 4 Artillery Regiment based in Pontdrift, were busy with waylays in Maphungubwe, when they confiscated the illicit Royal Express cigarettes valued at R 101 493.00.
Meanwhile, on the Eastern side of Beitbridge Port of Entry, our soldiers confiscated groceries which were meant to cross the border over to Zimbabwe through the illegal Port of Entry at Ha-Tshirundu.
The three suspects were each fined R1 500.00 by the South African Revenue Service/CUSTOMS at Beitbridge. All the confiscated goods were handed over to SA Revenue Service/CUSTOMS.
