Mine truck burnt, suspects still sought

NORTHERN CAPE – Police in Kimberley are appealing to members of the community to assist in the investigation into the fire that gutted amine truck.

The Ikapa mine truck in Kimberley was reportedly petrol bombed on Sunday, 23 June at about 17:30. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the local Hispital.

The motive for the truck burning has not yet established. Anyone with information about the suspects is kindly requested to contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Hercul Mitchell on 084 506 5359 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Information received will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Police investigation continues.
