There has never been a better time than now! Women have many, exciting and unprecedented business opportunities in the transport industry in South Africa. This was the key message delivered by numerous stakeholders in the transport industry who presented at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILTSA)first-ever “Business Opportunities for Women in the Transport industry” event held on 31 October 2019 in Johannesburg.
Led by Programme Director Noni Lebeko, Founder of LKM Human Capital Solutions, the high-level, high-impact speaker line-up featured industry leaders, experts and specialists sharing real, tangible opportunities available in the industry, as well as the compliance requirements and procurement processes of key organisations. Commenting on the event, CILTSA’s Executive Director, Catherine Larkin said: “The event succeeded in achieving what we set out to do: share real, tangible business opportunities for women in the transport industry, whilst informing them of the compliance requirements and procurement processes of various organisations. It also provided a powerful platform for women in the industry to network and explore possible partnerships, joint venture opportunities and more!”
