One person has been critically injured in a serious accident on the N2 Northbound near Queen Nandi Drive just after midnight on Tuesday morning.
ALS Paramedics Medical Service arrived on the scene to find that a truck believed to be carrying petrol had lost control and overturned before crossing over the center medium and colliding with a biker and another vehicle. The biker sustained critical injuries and was stabilized on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that he required.
The freeway is currently still closed in both directions for the recovery of the wreckage.
At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
