Two men believed to be in their late 20s luckily suffered only minor injuries after losing control of a tipper truck and crashing through a house in Eastwood, PMB. ER24 arrived on the scene at 14:21 along with an ALS medic from another private service.
The driver had managed to self-extricate, however, the passenger was found entrapped. The paramedics, the Fire Department as well as Search & Rescue spent an hour freeing the man from the crumpled cab and rubble, extracting him with a spinal board.
Both were then transported to Northdale Hospital for further care. SAPS and the Accident Unit were both on-scene for further investigations.
