Police arrested suspects in possession of suspected stolen livestock
Information was received about livestock being stolen in the farming community amongst Senekal, Ventersburg and Hennenman. More Boots were placed on the ground to prevent the crime.
On Friday, 09 December 2022 at about 15:45 it was reported that seven Mix Breed Heifers valued R105 000 livestock were stolen from a farm in Hennenman. A case of stock theft was registered for further investigation.
A preliminary investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old male suspect. The stolen livestock was seized and handed back to the owner.
The suspect is facing charges of being in Possession of suspected stolen stock and will appear in Ventersburg Magistrate Court on 12 December 2022 and a charge of Stock Theft will be added.
The District Commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Maj Gen Lerato Molale praised the Station Commander of Ventersburg, Captain Odendaal and his team for been more visible to enhance Police visibility which led to the arrest and seizure of stolen livestock.
