On Monday 28 November 2022, the Hawks members from Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Durban Harbour Detectives and Berea police station members were called out to a warehouse in Clairwood, Durban where they were shown suspicious parcels which were concealed in the cargo.
Preliminary investigation revealed that it was cocaine. A further search was conducted and more bricks of cocaine were found. The street value of the seized cocaine is approximately R16. 8 million.
No arrest has been made at this stage, the investigation continues.
