Members of 1 South African Tank Regiment were busy with vehicle patrol South of Support Base when they confiscated a Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD6 valued at R899 990.00. The driver took out paperwork that proved he purchased the vehicle.
However, upon calling the South African Police Service to confirm if it is legit, it was discovered and confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen at Bedfordview Police station by the owner of a garage in Gauteng.
The vehicle was handed over to the South African Police Service for further processing as dictated by South African law.
The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo Colonel Choene Samuel Mabotja congratulated the members for the job well done.
