Midlands EMS Advanced life support paramedics were dispatched to the N3 tweedie for a truck driver that closed the N3 after the driver went unconscious after cooking with a gas stove while driving.
On arrival, it was found that bystanders had broken the truck window and removed the driver from the truck that was across the N3.
The driver was found to be in a critical condition with Carbon Manoxide poisoning and required advanced life support treatment.
Once stabilized, the patient was transported to a specialist hospital for further care.
Authorities were in attendance.
