This morning, two men were killed and two others hospitalised following a collision between a truck and a light motor vehicle on Charlie 5 Road in Secunda.
ER24 and other services arrived on the scene at 11h35 to find other services already in attendance. A light motor vehicle was found smashed against the front of a truck, both on the side of the road.
On closer inspection, medics found several people lying inside the car.
Medics assessed the patients and found that two men had sustained fatal injuries in the collision. Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead.
A woman was found with several injuries, leaving her in a critical condition, while a man had escaped with minor injuries.
The two patients were treated for their injuries, and the woman was provided with advanced life support before being transported to nearby hospitals or urgent care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
