An unoccupied UD Crane truck overturned after it rolled down a steep road and crashed into a boundary wall in B Section, Parkgate.
Residents contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) requesting assistance. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the truck lying on its side.
It was established that the truck was sent to Parkgate to assist in towing a Tata truck that was stuck in the mud.
While on a steep incline the driver exited the UD truck when it began to roll. The conductor jumped out of the vehicle before it collided with a boundary wall and overturned. Due to bad weather, the truck could not be salvaged.
No injuries were reported.
